My Journey

Throughout my career, my passion has always been helping people and building meaningful relationships one person at a time. At the same time, I've always dreamed of owning my own business. I wanted to build something that would not only create financial freedom but also give me the flexibility to travel, experience the world, and live life on my own terms.

I never imagined that I would find that opportunity in the transportation industry.

My professional background includes caregiver, mortgage lending, banking, e-commerce retail, underwriting, and real estate. Each role taught me valuable lessons and helped shape who I am today. While I gained knowledge and experience in every field, I never felt completely fulfilled. I always believed I had more to offer and wasn't reaching my full potential.

Looking for additional income, I began working with DoorDash, Instacart, and Amazon Flex. Although the work itself wasn't my long-term passion, I enjoyed interacting with people, being on the road, and having the freedom to work outside instead of sitting behind a desk all day. That flexibility gave me a glimpse of the lifestyle I truly wanted.

As I continued networking and researching opportunities online, I discovered the cargo van industry. I was immediately intrigued and knew I wanted to learn more. I found a mentor who helped me understand the business, and after more than a year of learning and preparing, I was given the opportunity to drive over the road in a cargo van. It was truly a dream come true.

Before then, I had never traveled much beyond the Midwest. Suddenly, I found myself driving to places like Florida, California, and Las Vegas. Every trip opened my eyes to new experiences, new people, and new opportunities. Along the way, I built valuable relationships and discovered that the transportation industry offers far more possibilities than I had ever imagined.

Today, my dream has grown beyond simply owning a business. My vision is to build a company that creates opportunities for others, provides meaningful jobs, and develops a strong community where people can grow together. The Vandusens Courier is more than a delivery company—it's the beginning of a vision built on service, freedom, opportunity, and helping others succeed.
